sustainability
production
concept
fabrics
A main issue for clothing is to increase a garment’s value and decrease waste of natural resources, energy. This problem is attacked from various angles; upcycling and refashioning; as well as through the use of ecological materials. It also touches the idea of a piece of clothing. Aspects like quality, transformability and adaptability become important as well as sustainability in the production chain.
All fabrics used are organic/ecological, recycled or upcycled.
Ecological fabrics are nature-friendly and even decrease the amount of water needed for the crops, and so uses less of the scarce water resources of our planet.
Recycling fabric uses less resources than making new and decreases waste.
Upcycling from old materials decreases waste.
All fabric dye used is ecological.
Sustainability for us, means everything from the conditions of the workers to the most environmentally friendly way to transport finished garments.
The garments are hand made in France and Norway, ensuring a sweat-shop free production.
Throughout the whole process, a strict no-waste policy is applied so that scraps are re-used or sendt to recycling.
